Project Overview
Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) established Coal Power Generation Company Bangladesh LTD (CPGCBL) and plans the installation of the Matarbari Coal-Fired Power Plant (Matarbari CFPP; 2x600 MW) at Matarbari Island under Moheshkhali Upazila, Cox’s Bazar District. The main feature of the subproject components were to extending the road 30.340 km to 36.123 km (5.784 km Access Road) including the proposed bridge over Kohelia River. The access road will be utilized to transport needed equipment and materials and for the movement of parties involved in the construction of the power plant.
Environmental Quality Testing for Access Road Components of Matarbari Ultra Super Power Coal Fired power Plant From October 2020 to March 2023
The scope includes Air quality measurement, Noise measurement (day & Night), Surface Water and Groundwater Quality tests, Benthos Analysis, and Sediment sampling.
